Everyday Money Habits
For the teacher

How the course maps to the standards you teach.

Before you can hand a class a free resource, you have to answer one question for your department: what standard does it cover? This page answers it — every lesson, guide, and tool on the site, lined up against the framework you already plan from.

The short version: all six topics of the 2021 National Standards are covered here, with the matching NGPF unit and Texas TEKS strand named beside each — so you can slot a session into your syllabus and cite the standard in the same minute.

How to read it

The first six rows are the National Standards topics themselves. The last three —paying for college, housing, and giving & estate — are areas NGPF and Texas break out on their own that the national six fold into other topics; they're listed separately so nothing hides. Standards are matched at the topic level, not by individual code.

The crosswalk

Every national topic, covered.

One row per topic — the national standard, the NGPF unit and Texas strand that match it, and the lessons, guides, and tools on this site that teach it. Every link goes to a free page.

Alignment, not affiliation

This is an alignment reference, not a claim of endorsement. The lessons and guides here align to each framework's published topics; they are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NGPF, the Council for Economic Education, the Jump$tart Coalition, or the Texas Education Agency. The Council for Economic Education and the Jump$tart Coalition co-published the 2021 National Standards as a single framework, so they share one column here.

Bring it to your classroom.

The whole thing is free and runs itself — the ten-week course sequences these sessions in order, the handouts and packets print one page at a time, and why we teach it this way is the week-zero reading. Every link above lands on a page a student can open the same day.
